Mood? I don't know what to call this? Also I'm learning and thinking more about how naming a piece of art can and may influence an audience to preconceive a feeling or thought as to what the message or meaning of the art is? I like the idea of the viewer forming their own option as to what they feel the art is saying. I had a friend look at it online and he said, "Hot and Cold". Not at all what I was thinking, but I'll buy that!

A little thumbnail sketch from a long time ago just hanging out waiting to do something more with. Finally got around to doing a tighter Photoshop digital painting of this sketch. It's not a very big file but I would like to do a risoprint small run of this at some point. Four colors.

Pillcandy
Not sure why I call this pill candy, should have been "walking with death" or something. More experimenting with styles, tight vectors with loose digital paint. I literally just threw this logo together without much thought just to get some vectors to play with, and I love it! funny how that sometimes just works. Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.

Secrets in the wall
A little something different, experimenting, sketch from a long time ago. Still like the looseness of the sketch.

IIIrd i
Recently have been going through a bunch of my old thumbnail sketches and doodles, I have years worth of these scribbled thoughts that I always tell myself that I will refine or do something more with. This is one little section of a sketch from about 2016 that I always liked and wanted to do more with. I don't think I have ever used purple in one of my illustrations before, but that is how it's always been seen in my head. Not sure I love it, but here it is.

Join the party
This is probably the prettiest picture ever taken of me, in a version of my life not too long ago. Transformed into a few propaganda style self promotion pieces. I have no shame. Join the party.
Do you think someone would wear one of these on a shirt?

Be High Below
Be high, below. A random sketch I did one day a long time ago but always liked it. Messed around today and made it more of a piece. Experimenting... Also put it on stuff at Redbubble here. Not sure I like it on a shirt, or maybe I just don't like it in preview?

To be refined, maybe finished
An old sketch I have had laying around (one of many) that keeps compelling me to do something with... Gonna play with this some more at some point.

All we have is now
Made this one from an old photo of a Post-It note sketch I did a few years back. Photoshop.

Strange times
We are living in some very surreal strange times right now with the Coronavirus, stay at home orders, wearing masks and gloves, cleaning everything off all the time, the government giving us back money; it starts to become overwhelming. The weird thing is that it has been going on now for so long that these little rituals are starting to become the daily norm.
I think we are all going to see at some point this was all about so much more than a virus...
Until then, enjoy a sausage at the beach!

April showers bring May Sketches
This started out as just testing some line weights of a few different pens,
not sure how I came to this but I like it.
